THE SOLUTION

Since partnering with REACH Media Network, the company has employed 8 BrightSign media players to power its internal communication network. BrightSign is known as one of the most reliable, flexible media players in the industry, making them a great fit for a technology outfitter. Reseller partner Automation Arts handled the installation of its displays, resulting in a smooth transition to a digital-based platform. Through its 8 displays, UFS employs 2 screens in its reception area, 2 screens in the data center, and one screen near the bathroom. The reception area focuses on welcome messages, employee highlights, and general company information. The data center screens focus on providing company history, technological information, and other information for visitors who tour the building. Lastly, the screen near the bathroom focuses on employee communication such as employee highlights, facts, Q&As, and other staff information.

Additionally, the company also hosts a “Wall of Wow” digital display where teammates can submit shoutouts for colleagues. This is a great way for employees to acknowledge each other’s accomplishments and build a positive workplace culture.

THE RESULTS

As a result of partnering with REACH Media Network, UFS has been able to strengthen its internal communication and create an environment where employees are not only informed but appreciated. Most signage is internal, highlighting company events, employee spotlights, birthdays, or anniversaries. While most of the displays are internal-facing, if customers or business partners visit the facility, UFS is able to tailor its content to their business to welcome them with a more personal touch. Following a recent acquisition, the company has doubled in size and plans to get even more out of its signage technology. The company has recently installed 2 screens at its O’Fallon, MO office, and will continue to explore further signage options.

Geo-based content will allow the company to tailor certain content based on location. While they currently announce these occasions through playlist announcements, eventually the company will integrate events, birthdays, and anniversaries into calendars.
