THE SOLUTION
Before signing on with REACH Media Network’s digital signage, the YMCA of Columbia–South Carolina utilized TV screens to produce digital content in the form of PowerPoint slides saved onto USB drive. However, this solution required manually updating each screen. This required a significant amount of time spent driving to each facility to update each screen, and the process was often repeated monthly. Additionally, the organization needed a digital signage solution that would integrate with Daxko, a cloud-based software platform for YMCAs that helps with class scheduling, payment processing, membership management, and other daily operations. After hearing about them through other YMCA clients, the center booked a demo and eventually entered a partnership with REACH Media Network.
THE RESULTS
Since signing on with REACH Media Network’s intuitive digital signage platform, not only has the YMCA of Columbia–South Carolina integrated its Daxko management into their displays, but they have been able to employ various other forms of content as well. At each brand, the YMCA employs welcome messaging at each of its front desks to give visitors a feel for each facility. These screens host welcome messages, hours of operations, and what programs are offered throughout each season. Other screens are strategically placed in high-traffic areas in order to reach the largest audience. Additional content revolves around sport promotions, summer camps, community races, trivia questions, and QR codes that redirect visitors to registration pages. The YMCA also has activated its social media channels and integrated them into its displays. Here, the organization can share news stories from around the community. Not only do these displays help expand the YMCA’s impact, but they also help bring the community closer together.
