THE SOLUTION
Before partnering with REACH Media Network, Lake-Sumter College started by buying 3 large, mobile digital boards. Initially, it was hard to change and update information efficiently. The mobility of these screens was meant to enrich special events hosted by the school and adapt content based on the visitors and the purpose of such events. Additionally, Lake-Sumter wanted to expand content in other areas as well. For instance, they wanted to make wayfinding more pronounced and attractive for visitors. This would reduce confusion for visitors and help them navigate the campus more effectively. Placing other screens in areas such as lobbies and breakrooms will also expand the reach of the school across various locations. Through its partnership with REACH Media Network, the college has been able to address these concerns and develop a robust digital signage strategy.
THE RESULTS
Since incorporating 21 players, Lake-Sumter has taken full advantage of the suite of digital signage apps and integrations offered through REACH Media Network’s digital signage platform. Strategically placing its displays around high-traffic areas for maximum impact, the college has elevated its lobby, breakroom, and mobile display content. For example, in addition to static advertisements promoting clubs, events, and important deadlines around campus, the school has also leveraged dynamic video content to provide more engaging, eye-catching content to make promotions more exciting. The school also places an importance on keeping content fresh, and routinely updates its announcements and assets to draw people into its displays. Additionally, through working with REACH’s design and creative team, the school has made its wayfinding more attractive, helping visitors navigate more effectively around campus while also still pushing school events and promotions. The mobile screens, in addition to the benefit of being able to be brought anywhere, have the flexibility to adapt content at a moment’s notice. In fact, the school plans to get 6-8 more similar screens for added visibility in the future. The community thinks the displays are beautiful, and the school plans to use digital signage for most of its important initiatives as it’s easy to use, streamlines communication, and looks good!
