THE SOLUTION

Before signing on with REACH Media Network’s digital signage, Crete Carrier Corp. was experimenting with digital signage through a more local solution. However, this failed to meet the company’s needs and goals. The Windows-based solution struggled with automation and would routinely kick players offline. This would then require on-site staff to get it online, which would prove to be a difficult task. In worst-case scenarios, support would prove to be ineffective in addressing concerns, resulting in the trucking company searching for an alternative digital signage solution. After a colleague had implemented BrightSign with BrightAuthor, it demonstrated a more “bulletproof” bang-for-your-buck hardware solution. The company then learned about BrightSign’s partnership with REACH Media Network’s content-management system. Through this partnership, the company has employed 24 BrightSign player licenses to create “always on” displays across its Indiana facility and has enjoyed more stable connections powered by intuitive integrations.

THE RESULTS

As a result of implementing REACH Media Network software with BrightSign hardware, Crete Carrier Corp. has been able to take its communication efforts to the next level. Typically located in driver’s lounges and breakrooms, these screens highlight driver awards and shoutouts, weather radars (previously not offered at the previous solution), and news stories. Even more importantly, safety PSAs remind truckers of proper safety procedures and measures to take while driving on the road. Segmentation of folders and breaking content up into logical chunks has been a big improvement to overall organization. As a result, staff have commented on how much cleaner and better-looking the new displays and layouts appear. At the moment, they leverage a 60/40 split between static announcements and dynamic videos, resulting in a good variety of content.
